The Order of Friars Minor Philippines (“OFM Philippines” “us”, “we”, or “our”) maintains the https://ofmschools.com/ website (the “Website”) and related software applications made available by us for use on or through computers, mobile devices or other Internet-connected devices (the “Apps”) (the Website and the Apps being collectively referred to as the “OFM Schools Online Services”).

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) shall govern, control, and manage your (the “User”) use of the OFM Schools Online Services, which includes the portals of the following OFM Schools (“OFM Schools”):

  • Our Lady of the Angels Seminary College, Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City
  • San Jose Parochial School, Santo Domingo Street, Dona Juana Homes, Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City
  • St. Francis School, Sta. Ana, Manila

By using the OFM Schools Online Services, you signify that you have read the Terms and agree to be bound by and comply with them. These Terms will apply to use of the OFM Schools Online Services and any interaction with the OFM Schools. In the event you do not agree with any of these Terms, you are directed not to use the OFM Schools Online Services. Minors or people under the age of 18 years old are not authorized to use the OFM Schools Online Services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time and will publish notice of any such modifications online at this Website or elsewhere online. By continuing to access the OFM Schools Online Services after notice of such modifications has been published, you signify your agreement to be bound by them.

Disclaimer

While we take care to ensure the accuracy of the content of the OFM Schools Online Services (the “Content”), to the extent permitted by law, OFM Philippines assumes no legal liability for and does not warrant that the information contained on the OFM Schools Online Services is accurate or complete, or that the web pages will be free from errors or that its availability will be uninterrupted and OFM Philippines hereby expressly disclaims and excludes all express and implied warranties terms or conditions not stated herein, so far as such exclusion or disclaimer is permitted under the applicable law. OFM Philippines excludes all liability to any person for any loss or damage caused by any errors or omissions, whether such errors or omissions result from negligence, accident or any other cause but this disclaimer is without prejudice to any claims for fraudulent misrepresentation, personal injuries or death.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Content and all copyright and other intellectual property rights therein belong to OFM Philippines, its affiliate entities, or its licensors. The User is granted a limited license only for purposes of viewing the OFM Schools Online Services.

Restrictions on Use

All other use of the OFM Schools Online Services and the Content, including modification, publication, transmission, creation of derivative works, incorporation into another website or reproducing the OFM Schools Online Services or the Content (whether by linking, framing or any other method) is not permitted without our prior express written consent.

The User is specifically restricted from all of the following: (1) publishing any Content in any other media; (2) selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercializing any Content; (3) publicly performing and/or showing any Content; (4) using the OFM Schools Online Services in any way that is or may be damaging to the Website and the Apps; (5) using the OFM Schools Online Services in any way that impacts user access to the same; (6) using the OFM Schools Online Services contrary to applicable laws and regulations, or which in any way may cause harm to the OFM Schools Online Services, or to any person or entity; (7) engaging in any data mining, data harvesting, data extracting or any other similar activity in relation to the OFM Schools Online Services; (8) any action, including but not limited to, making screenshots of the OFM Schools Online Services which denigrate, harm or defame or are used to denigrate, harm or defame OFM Philippines or its affiliate entities; and (9) using the OFM Schools Online Services to engage in any advertising or marketing. Certain areas of the OFM Schools Online Services are restricted from being accessed by the User and we may further restrict access to any areas of the OFM Schools Online Services, at any time, in our absolute discretion.

Violation of Security Systems

You are prohibited from using any services or facilities provided in connection with the OFM Schools Online Services to compromise security or tamper with system resources and/or accounts. The use or distribution of tools designed for compromising security (e.g. password guessing programs, cracking tools, malware, or network probing tools) is strictly prohibited. If you become involved in any violation of system security, we reserve the right to release your details to system administrators at other sites, law enforcement and/or governmental authorities in order to assist them in resolving security incidents.

Rules for Online Conduct

You agree to use the OFM Schools Online Services in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. You further agree that you will not e-mail or post any of the following content anywhere on the Website, the Apps, or on any other OFM Philippines’ computing resources:

  • Content that defames or threatens others
  • Harassing statements or content that violates any law, rule or regulation
  • Content that discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them
  • Content that infringes another’s intellectual property, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks or trade secrets
  • Material that contains obscene (i.e. pornographic) language or images
  • Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation
  • Content that is otherwise unlawful

Copyrighted material, including without limitation software, graphics, text, photographs, sound, video and musical recordings, may not be placed on the OFM Schools Online Services without the express permission of the owner of the copyright in the material, or other legal entitlement to use the material.

Students of the OFM Schools using the OFM Schools Online Services are expected to abide by the standard of conduct for students contained in their respective Student Handbook. For example, students are expected to show both within and without the OFM Schools such respect for order, morality, personal honor and the rights of others as is demanded of good citizens.

Employees of the OFM Schools using the OFM Schools Online Services are expected to abide by the school Policies.

Although we do not routinely screen or monitor content posted by users to the OFM Schools Online Services, we reserve the right to remove content which violates the above rules of which we become aware, but are under no obligation to do so.

Finally, you agree that you will not access or attempt to access any other user’s account, or misrepresent or attempt to misrepresent your identity while using the OFM Schools Online Services.

Third-Party Services

The OFM Schools Online Services may link you to other sites on the Internet and third-party partners which cooperate with us to provide you certain services. These sites may contain information or material that some people may find inappropriate or offensive. These other sites are not under our control, and you acknowledge that (whether or not such sites are affiliated in any way with us) we are not responsible for the accuracy, copyright compliance, legality, decency, or any other aspect of the content of such sites, and that your use of such sites is subject to their respective terms of use. The inclusion of such a link does not imply endorsement of any site by us or any association with its operators.

Proprietary Online Services

Any area of the OFM Schools Online Services that is accessed through any proprietary online service is subject to the rules, policies and guidelines of such proprietary online service.

Your User Account

If you create a User Account to access and use the OFM Schools Online Services, you are responsible for all activities that occur under your User Account, for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, if any, and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your User Account or any breach of security with respect to your User Account including your password. We will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your User Account, either with or without your knowledge. In addition, you may be held liable for any losses incurred by us or another party due to someone else using your User Account.

If you are under 18 years of age, you may access the OFM Schools Online Services only through a parent or guardian. You agree that billing and registration information you provide on the OFM Schools Online Services will be accurate and complete. OFM Philippines and its affiliate entities reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.

Other

The OFM Schools Online Services may contain errors and omissions relating to our services and any Content. We reserve the right to correct errors or omissions or otherwise make changes without prior notice.
